Legend has it that Longquan was where the first iron sword was forged. The tradition of Longquan swords traces back to the renowned swordsmith Ou Yezi, who crafted the Longyuan sword at the foot of Qingxi Mountain, endowed with abundant iron ore, cold springs for tempering, and fine stones for blade refinement. Across generations, Longquan has upheld and refined traditional forging techniques, earning local and international acclaim for sword quality. We collaborate directly with Longquan’s esteemed swordsmiths and craftsmen to deliver exceptional, fully functional swords at affordable prices. Each sword is accompanied by an authenticity certificate from the smith.

Our swords boast exceptional craftsmanship, being hand-forged and made to order by master smiths using traditional Japanese & Chinese techniques. Unlike mass-produced alternatives, each sword is meticulously crafted with care and respect for heritage, ensuring top-notch quality.

We prioritize Japanese Quality, distinguishing our swords from low-quality, mass-produced options. Every sword on our website is fully handmade-to-order, reflecting generations of craftsmanship. Japanese and Longquan katanas are functionally identical, embodying the same level of quality and expertise.

Each sword is full tang and functional, constructed with traditional Japanese methods. Our blades are crafted from premium materials like 1060 and 1095 steel, offering excellent durability and sharpness for various cutting tasks.

For maintenance and customization, our swords can be fully disassembled. The handle and scabbard are made from durable hardwood and wrapped with genuine rayskin and silk or leather ito for an authentic feel.

Our range includes options like 1060 High Carbon Steel for light to medium cutting, 9260 Spring Steel for flexibility and forgiveness, and 1095 High Carbon Steel for heavy-duty cutting. For those seeking tradition and beauty, we offer Tamahagane steel, forged in the traditional manner with hazuya/jizuya polishing stones.

1.Oil Regularly: Apply sword oil to prevent rust. Wipe off any excess oil to avoid attracting dust and dirt.

2. Clean After Use: After each use, gently wipe the blade with a soft cloth to remove any dirt or fingerprints. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.

Processing & Shipping

We strive to offer worldwide shipping options. Currently, we cover several regions: the EU, 🇺🇸 USA, Canada, and Australia, with no customs issues. Owning a hand-forged sword in these countries is perfectly legal. For other countries, we can consider using parcel forwarding services. All deliveries come with a tracking system, allowing you to monitor your package’s progress from our platform or directly from the carrier’s site.  

We know how important it is to send well protected parcels, which is why we have set up a rigorous packaging process for all our products in order to guarantee maximum safety during the journey.

Quality check: Before sending a product, our team checks that the product has no factory defects and that it meets our quality standards.

Factory bag: The product is sliped in their original packaging, made of a resistant plastic that protects them from dust and water that can be generated during the journey.

All orders are subject to a handling period before shipment, usually 5 business days. However, during holidays or a new launch, orders may take a bit longer to process but it never exceed 7 business day.

Once the order is shipped, you will receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number and all the information needed.

Please make sure you provide the correct delivery address. cannot be held responsible for items shipped to incorrect addresses provided by the buyer. In such cases, the buyer will be responsible for any additional shipping costs incurred to ship to the correct address.

Our orders are shipped within 3 days.

Once shipped, an order takes an average of 10 working days to be delivered. Here are some estimates depending on your country, calculated from recent shipments.

It depends on the number of products purchased and their size. If it is possible and will not cause damage to the products, we try to send them together.

If several packages are sent, you will of course receive the different tracking numbers that you can follow directly from our tracking page

Unfortunately no. Once the parcel is in the system, no changes can be made on our side.

If your package is returned due to an incorrect address, we’ll have to re-arrange a delivery process. It will take a few more days so please be careful when filling up the checkout form.

All shipments are insured for replacement if a shipment issue arrises, so please let us know if your order has not arrived within a reasonable period of time.

You may also be required to submit a signed letter stating that the item was not received. You will NOT lose your money if your parcel is lost, so please be patient, and we will resolve the issue.

Sometimes carriers tracking information can be incorrect, and packages are marked as delivered before they actually arrive.

Your package will most likely be delivered within a couple of days, but it’s great to check with your neighbors/caretaker and post office in the meantime.

If the parcel is still missing after a week, please open a reclamation case on your domestic carrier’s website and let us know the issue.

If your package does not successfully deliver and is sent back to us, it is typically due to insufficient address information. Your package will be returned and “Returned to Sender” will be stated on your tracking information. This can happen if:

  • The shipping address does not exist
  • The shipping address is misspelled
  • The shipping address is missing information (i.e. apt/bldg/suite number)
  • The carrier is unable to safely deliver the package
  • The addressee has moved
  • The addressee has refused the package

Returned to sender packages will be received by our international carrier logistic warehouse in your country and, upon its receipt, we’ll be able to re-arrange a new delivery process.

Please note that this process is longer and that no refund will be issued for such issue.

Each sword is custom-made and hand-forged unless otherwise specified, ensuring a high-quality, unique product. This intricate process takes approximately 3-4 weeks to complete. We’ll email you photos of your sword for confirmation, so please add [email protected] to your whitelist to ensure delivery. Tanto and wakizashi typically require around 4 weeks, while highly customized swords may take 4-5 weeks. Most orders have a turnaround time of 4-6 weeks from submission to receipt. If you need your sword by a specific date, please contact us to discuss prioritizing your order.

Custom engraving is laser-engraved near the handle on the blade. For English engraving, we use a beautiful cursive font, unless you prefer all caps, in which case we’ll use a serif font. Japanese/Chinese engraving features stylized calligraphy characters. When selecting character engraving, feel free to submit in English, and we’ll translate it into characters for you. The blacksmith’s name on blade options is displayed in Chinese characters by default.

Returns & Refund

If you’re dissatisfied with your purchase or wish to return your items, please adhere to our Return Policy and send the item(s) back to us. Please note that we don’t offer pre-paid return labels. The customer is responsible for return shipping costs and any associated taxes/fees, which will be deducted from the refund.

Certainly! Upon receiving your return, we’ll assess it to ensure it aligns with our return policy criteria. If it meets our guidelines, we’ll process your refund within a week using the original payment method. Please allow a few days for the refund to reflect in your account.

If you’d prefer, we can issue a store credit instead. Just let us know when you request the return, and we’ll provide you with a store coupon for the amount of your order.

If your return doesn’t meet our policy, you’ll have the option to cover the return shipping for it to be sent back to you, or we may choose to dispose of it or donate it to a charity or someone in need.
